ADOBE® AUDITION™ INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS

Before installing Adobe Audition, make sure your computer meets the system requirements, which are listed on the Adobe Audition box and in the AuditionReadme.rtf file on the Adobe Audition application CD-ROM.

If you're upgrading from Cool Edit Pro or Cool Edit 2000, make sure that a qualifying version of Cool Edit is installed before installing the Adobe Audition upgrade. By default, the installer creates a new folder for Adobe Audition files so existing Cool Edit files are not affected.

After you install Adobe Audition, visit http://www.adobe.com/products/audition/ to register your product.

Installing Adobe Audition

You cannot run Adobe Audition from the CD; you must install the program files onto your hard disk. For best results, exit all programs and disable all utilities. When other software is running, it may interfere with the installation process. To temporarily disable software in the Startup folder, hold down the Control key during startup. For information about disabling other software, see the documentation for that software.

If you have problems installing from a network server, copy the Adobe Audition 1.0 folder to the computer on which you are trying to install, and then run the installer from that computer.

In Windows 2000® and Windows XP®, you must be logged-in as an Administrator to install or uninstall Adobe Audition.
